How to Verify a Chinese Media Placement
A recognizable media name is not enough. Verify the actual domain, page type, accessibility and publishing description before treating two placements as equivalent.
1. Check the actual domain
Look at the final URL rather than relying only on a media logo or screenshot. The domain helps establish where the page actually lives.
2. Identify the page type
Main-site news pages, regional channels, content accounts, mobile pages, special sections and recommendation placements can have different characteristics. They should not automatically be treated as the same product.
3. Verify public accessibility
A placement should be accessible without relying only on a private screenshot. If a public page is part of the service, the client should be able to open and verify the live URL.
4. Separate publication from recommendation
Publishing an article and being recommended on a homepage or app feed are different outcomes. Recommendation can be temporary and may be difficult to reproduce later.
5. Ask for a recent comparable example
A recent example can help confirm the current page format, but it still does not guarantee that every future submission will be accepted or appear in exactly the same way.
6. Confirm the after-sales period
Published pages are not guaranteed to remain online permanently. PR Channel follows the explicit support period attached to a resource; when none is stated, the default support period is one month.
7. Treat search and AI visibility separately
A published page may or may not be indexed by Google, Baidu or other search engines, and may or may not be retrieved or cited by AI systems. These are separate measurements from publication itself.
